Why they are called Kaki Lima? Because their pushcart is usually has five legs, so they can stop anywhere. So, where is the five legs? They are 2 tire, 2 stand and one person. So they count as five.

What is PEMBAYATAN?

Please observe these picture before understanding what pembayatan is.

It’s hard to explain what pembayatan is. Pembyatan in a ceremony which held before someone graduated. It’s meant to “memorize” us our graduation, about our last presence in campus as stundent, and student walk out as the symbolize they can leave campus as Bachelor.

So, everyone in campus, included juniors, seniors, anyone, lecturer, have right to do some jerk stuff as shown. They can color the student which are “dibayat”. This pembayatan held at STTS (Sekolah Tinggi Teknik Surabaya), or now is ISTTS (Institut Sains Terapan Teknologi Surabaya). www.stts.edu is the official website of STTS.

This article is dedicated to my friend, our friend, our best friend, Suharta Wantara or known as “TITIG”. He died in Jakarta weeks ago. It’s so sad for us for him to left this earth. We sure he left the Earth to heaven.

Maybe in this picture it seem like some kind of weird food, but i can teel you it’s so dellicious. It’s one of my favorite food’s. It’s name Pangsit Mie jembatan Merah (Noodle with Meat Ball of Red Bridge), however, it's best with name "Pangsit Mie".

You can find "Pangsit Mie Jembatan Merah" near the Ibis Hotel at Jembatan Merah, in front of Jembatan Merah Plaza. Actually, its located in the end of Rajawali Street to Jembatan Merah. In the right hand side, you'll find Pangsit Mie Jembatan Merah, before the bridge.
